Lesley Rosenthal — Lincoln Center — Dean’s Speaker Series

This Monday (4/12) at noon in room 407 the Dean’s Speaker Series in
partnership with the Cardozo Art Law Society welcome Lesley Rosenthal
Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary and Kimberly Ayers
Shariff, Deputy General Counsel of Lincoln Center for the Performing
Arts to the Law School.

Lesley Rosenthal is the chief legal officer for Lincoln Center and
oversees a wide variety of areas including IP, real estate and
construction, labor/employment, and government relations. She plays a
lead role in fashioning the legal context for the ongoing redevelopment
projects on the Lincoln Center campus, advises the Board on matters of
governance and is part of an team that is modernizing how Lincoln Center
manages retail and garage operations, restaurant and catering
transactions, and media and publishing activities. Kimberly Ayers
Shariff, Deputy General Counsel assists in managing all legal aspects of
Lincoln Center Inc.’s activities, including the Center’s roles as a
presenter of performing arts programming, a leading arts-in-education
institute, and as manager of the 16.3 acre facility in Manhattan.

Prior to joining Lincoln Center, Ms. Rosenthal practiced in the
litigation department and the communications & technology group at Paul
Weiss for 13 years. Ms. Shariff began her career in practice at Verner
Lipfert Bernhard McPherson & Hand Chartered, working in the
Corporate/Tax and Energy groups. Just prior to joining Lincoln Center,
she held the position of Senior Associate General Counsel with BET
(Black Entertainment Television, a Viacom property) and provided
oversight for all legal aspects of BET’s New York production activities
and was also responsible for a variety of other corporate and production
related matters.
