How do unelected American citizens participate in the lawmaking process? Some vote (some abstain from voting), some campaign (some complain), some answer calls for comments issued by different government agencies. With the barrage of information via newspaper, magazines, Google Alerts as well as Reddit, Twitter feeds and other incessant sources of information lack of real public notice for comments solicited by the government agencies tasked with review of the regulations is perplexing.
How many of our readers, and contributors knew, and how many actually contributed their voices and opinions to the recent calls for the IVORY TRADE or the Federal Reporter Notice issued in April of this year, seeking comments for the copyright protections of certain visual works?
