Kamée Payton

Kamée Payton is a Master of Laws graduate from the University of York where she studied Art Law. During her graduate studies she worked as an editor for the York Law Review, completed an internship at the fine arts auction house, Tennants Auctioneers, and wrote a comparative law dissertation titled Art in Lieu of Cash: An Exploration of the United Kingdom’s Tax Relief Scheme Acceptance in Lieu. Before beginning her graduate program Kamée worked in museum collections and registration. Kamée also has a degree in Art History from Utah Valley University where she led the art history journal Artemisia: An Undergraduate Journal for Art History Research and Criticism. Kamée joins the Center for Art Law as its 2024-2025 Judith Bresler fellow, where she will coordinate its clinics and contribute to legal research projects.
