Artist Legacy & Estate Planning Clinic
October 15, 2025
About this event
This event began with a 25 minute presentation, tailored specifically to artists, on legacy and estate planning by Attorney Cynthia Pearson. Pearson provided guidance as to the logistics of planning for the preservation of an artist’s oeuvre and legacy by detailing which documents need to be prepared, who to get in touch with, when in the process of estate planning to contact these professionals and potential options for philanthropic contributions. She also discussed how to navigate challenges which are unique to artists when it comes to legacy and estate planning.
After the presentation, attendees with consultation tickets were paired with one of the Center’s volunteer professionals (attorneys, appraisers and financial advisors) for a confidential 20-minute consultation.
