Hear from our Interns

The Center for Art Law is a highly engaging and extremely fascinating place. As an intern, I had the invaluable opportunity to work alongside the most brilliant people and gain hands-on experience by shadowing clinics and assisting with events. One highlight for me was the first-ever Art Lawyering Workshop the Center held this summer, where I had the chance to speak with a wonderful artist about her legacy planning concerns (we are still in touch). The internship experience at the Center is truly one-of-a-kind, largely due to the dynamic nature of art law itself, but also because of the dedicated team that makes the Center’s work so impactful.

Undergraduate Intern, Summer 2024

Interning at Center for Art Law has greatly increased my knowledge of the intersection between the arts and legal fields. Whether it be writing articles about current art law issues, adding cases to a database of Nazi-looted art, or planning events with prominent professionals in the field, this internship is an incredible learning opportunity for anyone interested in art law.

My work with the Center has exposed me to legal experts across the United States and the globe, and has encouraged me to broaden my scope of postgraduate experiences (educational and practical) that will allow me to advance my knowledge and refine my skills so that I can better work towards my dream career in museum and cultural heritage administration.
