Ars Longa, Vita Brevis: Best Practices for Legacy and Estate Planning
October 8, 2024
About the Event
Artists face unique challenges when crafting their personal and professional legacies. This workshop provided an approachable and practical framework for artists at all stages of their career looking for guidance on how and when to engage in the various stages of the estate and legacy planning process.
Topics included best practices for long-term collections management, estate planning considerations for physical artwork and intellectual property, drafting trusts and estate documents, artist legacy vehicles, and philanthropy — all through the lens of everyone’s favorite inevitabilities: death and taxes.
