Greg Allen is an artist and writer in Washington, D.C. who has published greg.org: the making of, a blog about the creative process, since 2001. His work has been exhibited at MoMA PS1 and LACMA. He has written for ARTnews about his two-year search for a stolen Jasper Johns flag painting, and the Warhol Foundation’s arguments for fair use before the US Supreme Court. Before that, was awarded a Warhol Foundation | Creative Capital Art Writers Grant, and since then, a Rabkin Prize for arts writing. Greg has published transcripts of Richard Prince’s depositions in two major copyright infringement lawsuits as artist books: Canal Zone Richard Prince Yes Rasta (2011) and The Second Deposition of Richard Prince (2023).
