NAGPRA in Archaeological Practice: Implementing Duty of Care
This article examines how Native Nations and institutions have been affected by a new directive in the revised NAGPRA regulations, the duty of care provision (43 CFR 10.1(d)), with a focus on the care of Indigenous Ancestral remains and cultural items. The Native Nation’s perspective is provided by the Osage Nation and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. The South Carolina Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology; the University of Tennessee, Knoxville; the Illinois State Museum; and Indiana University share their viewpoints as institutions that house Indigenous Ancestral remains, cultural items, and archaeological collections and describe the initial impacts of the revised legislation on their programs. There are several key takeaways of its initial effects, including (1) an increased burden to Native Nations, given the substantial uptick in requests for consultation linked to new requirements for consent and the revised definitions of cultural items and research (although the end result of more consultations leading to repatriations is desired), (2) a disconnect between Native Nations and institutions regarding cultural item identification, (3) a strengthening of existing NAGPRA-related institutional policies and procedures, and (4) an emphasis on the importance of consultation between institutions and Native Nations to facilitate repatriation.

Museums as Agents of Change
Museums everywhere have the potential to serve as agents of change—bringing people together, contributing to local communities, and changing people’s lives. So how can we, as individuals, radically expand the work of museums to live up to this potential? How can we more fiercely recognize the meaningful work that museums are doing to enact change around the relevant issues in our communities? How can we work together to build a stronger culture of equity and care within museums?? Questions like these are increasingly vital for all museum professionals to consider, no matter what your role is within your institution. They are also important questions for all of us to be thinking about more deeply as citizens and community members. This book is about the work we need to do to become changemakers and demand that that our museums take action toward positive social change and bring people together into a more just, equitable, compassionate, and connected society. It is a journey toward tapping the energies within all of us to make change happen and proactively shape a new future.

Couture Fashion Law: Copyright and Artistic Works
This book provides an insight into the legal workings of the most ostentatious fashion sector, Couture, whilst simultaneously advocating for stronger legal protection in this industry.
Offering an interdisciplinary approach, including art theory from Tolstoy and Rand amongst others, the book examines where Couture fashion sits within the law. Most significantly the book considers the couturier as an ‘artist’ and Couture as ‘art’ in relation to how this art form may be protected legally by copyright. Reflecting on contemporary issues, it analyses recent legal cases together with legislation, to provide awareness on the current position, and considers implications for the future by suggesting legal frameworks in pursuit of improvements. Using U.K. law as a case study, the book also comparatively assesses global fashion law, analysing the legal workings in the E.U. and the U.S.

Hitler’s Horses: The Incredible True Story of the Detective who Infiltrated the Underworld
The true story of a detective, two bronze horses and the dictator who set the world on fire.
When detective Arthur Brand is summoned to a meeting with one of the most dangerous men in the art world, he learns that a clue has emerged that could solve one of the Second World War’s unexplained mysteries: what really happened to the Striding Horses, Hitler’s favourite statue, which disappeared during the bombing of Berlin.
As Brand goes undercover to find the horses, he discovers a terrifying world ruled by neo-s and former KGB agents, where Third Reich memorabilia sells for millions of dollars. The stakes get ever higher as Brand carefully lays his trap to catch the criminal masterminds trying to sell the statue on the black market. But who are they? And will he manage to bring them to justice before they discover his real identity?
Hitler’s Horses is a thrilling retelling of one of history’s most extraordinary heists.
